First post war civic building constructed in the Palisades 

The building survived the 2025 Palisades Wildfire, and for a time served as a center for recovery operations. However, it was not included in the plan for reimagining the recreation complex, and over the protests of preservationists, this structure was razed in 2026 to make way for a larger gymnasium.
